JUNIOR CLASSES AGES 6 & UP
MIXED MEDIA
Mixed media is all about possibilities! This class
introduces the young artist to a variety of media, including pen and ink,
acrylic and watercolor paint , as well as pastel , charcoal and clay.
Basic concepts such as
color, line, 2D, 3D form and the fundamentals of drawing will be explored.
Our nurturing environment stresses creativity and self expression.
Ages 6 -10 up Monday 4:30-5:30 PM
CLASSIC DRAWING & PAINTING
AGES 11 & UP
This
class is for the student who is ready for skill building in drawing and
painting. Using charcoal, pencil, pastel, watercolor and acrylic paint students
learn techniques through demonstrations and hands on instruction. Gain
appreciation from the "masters" through slide presentations and
discussions.
Begin working from reference photos and still life.
Ages 11 & up Monday 3:00-4:15 pm
NEW !! SCULPTURE CLASS for ages 5-9
There's no limit to what the imagination can create! In this class students will create wild and whimsical creatures, both real and imagined, using self-hardening clay and plaster. This activity is usually one of students' favorites, and sculpting the clay helps develop fine motor skills.
